Time is very variable "Element"
of our life. It gets changed at every movement. It can be defined in different
ways but still not clearly understood.
Different Definitions of
Time:
1. The indefinite continued
progress of existence and events in the past, present and future, regarded as a
whole.
2. A point of time as measured
in hours and minutes past midnight or noon.
3. Time
is part of the fundamental structure of the universe – a dimension independent of
events, in which events occur in sequence.
There are many
definitions available in religion, philosophy, and science. But the
question is that: Can they define the Time?

“It was Einstein’s
genius to realize that the speed of light is absolute, invariable and cannot be
exceeded (and indeed that the speed of light is actually more fundamental than
either time or space). In relativity, time is certainly an integral part of the
very fabric of the universe and cannot exist apart from the universe, but, if
the speed of light is invariable and absolute, Einstein realized, both space
and time must be flexible and relative to accommodate this.” Hawking
talks about time in Einstein's theory of relativity. One prediction that
Einstein's theory makes is that time will go by slower when something is near
huge masses. However, when something is farther away from the mass, time will
go by faster. Hawking used the idea of two twins living at different places to describe his idea. If one
of the twins went to live on a mountain, and another twin went to live near the sea, the twin who
went to live on the mountain would be a little bit older than the twin who went
to live at the sea.
Though this genius has
explained the Time very precisely and accurately, can it be understandable of
defined? Can we able to predict it? There are so many research done on this
phenomenon to predict the Time and to try to control it. But none of them have
ever been succeeded.
The only truth is that
we can only measure the time which is passed in the terms of seconds, minutes,
hours, days, weeks, months, years and so on… But we can never predict it. If we
think that time is measurable and we can absolutely and invariably measure it,
we may be wrong. Because time is relative phenomenon and it is relatively of
different “size” for different species on the earth.
Humans have discovered
the tools like clocks and calendars to measure the Time but do you really feel
that this is the way by which time is accurately measured?
There are few species
on the earth like microorganisms and other insects whose lives are of
relatively very lesser than the animals and humans.
Same way if we compare
the length of day on earth with the length of day on other planets, we can see
the difference as follows:

Age of the Universe it
predicted as 13.8 billion years, when the Big Bang took place and the “Time” originated
with the motion of this Universe. It is proved that the Universe is
continuously expanding with time and it may be end in the Black Holes. As we
know the Black holes have the tremendous gravitational force which can control
or seize the Time. So we can say that time is originated by the Big Bang and
will end up in the Black Holes.
